Congratulations Dr. Michael Chu!


The Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Pharmacy & Health Sciences is proud to recognize

Dr. Michael Chu as our 2019 Preceptor of the Year!  Dr. Chu  is one of our exemplary preceptors

voted our fourth “Preceptor of the Year “ by the class of 2019  for his commitment and

dedication precepting them during their experiential rotations to enter the practice of

pharmacy.

Michael graduated with a PharmD degree from University of Illinois at Chicago in 1990. Upon

graduating, he went to University Hospital in Newark, NJ and became the first clinical

pharmacist hired. In 2003, he became the Clinical Pharmacy Manager and his position includes

overseeing and evaluating the different units (Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit,

Liver transplant clinic, Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, Heart Failure outpatient clinic,

Emergency Department, and Oncology).

Dr. Chu was nominated by the Class of 2019 and  presented this award at our school’s annual

White Coat Ceremony in August 2019. He has been commended by our students for his ongoing

dedication and guidance during various experiential institutional based rotations .



 The FDU School of Pharmacy & Health Sciences extends our sincerest thanks to all of our
