GOAL
To increase pharmacists’ knowledge and clinical competency in the management of primary immunodeficiency, with a focus on the selection and management of immune globulin therapy.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Describe the different forms of primary immunodeficiency, including their associated symptoms and complications.
- Discuss appropriate therapies for preventing infection in patients with primary immunodeficiency.
- Formulate an immune globulin treatment plan for patients with primary immunodeficiency, including product selection, dosing, and monitoring.
- Apply counseling points for a patient with primary immunodeficiency receiving immune globulin therapy.
