2017 Forum Will Explore Nontraditional Pharmaceutical Care Opportunities
The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) has announced the speaker lineup and agenda for the 2017 ASCP Forum to be held May 3-4, 2017 in Arlington, Virginia. The 2017 Forum provides cutting-edge information to help pharmacists navigate and prioritize long-term and post-acute care (LTPAC) initiatives and take advantage of the growing number of opportunities for pharmacists outside of traditional roles.
Attendees will hear CMS’ vision for medication reconciliation and the role of their contractors, RAND, RTI, and Abt Associates; gain understanding of how the IMPACT Act is changing the way pharmacists’ recommendations will be communicated; learn practical ways that SNOMED CT codes and quality metrics can increase efficiency; and discover which billing codes can be utilized to directly bill a patient’s medical coverage under a pharmacist’s National Provider Identifier.
The Forum offers attendees a front-row seat with industry trailblazers affecting LTPAC pharmacy today, including the Forum’s keynote speaker, Congressman Buddy Carter, a former long-term care pharmacy operator, who will offer his perspective on the health care landscape.
Platinum sponsors for the Forum include Collegium Pharmaceuticals, Managed Healthcare Associates, Inc. (MHA), PharMerica, and Smith Drug Company. Avanir Pharmaceuticals is a silver sponsor for the event. Press affiliates for the event include Drug Topics, McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, and RXinsider.
Online registration for the Forum is open at ascp.com/forum. Space is limited.
