QS/1, a national leader in pharmacy software technology, announced it has released an enhanced interface with PointClickCare, the leading cloud-based software for the senior care continuum. The interface will allow long-term care (LTC) pharmacies using an on-demand dispensing method to securely exchange information with facilities using PointClickCare.
“The direct interface allows PointClickCare to send Census (patient demographics), new orders, resupply, and cancel orders to the PrimeCare system,” said Lisa Fowler, a QS/1 market analyst for LTC interfaces. “Then, once prescriptions are filled and checked through workflow, the NCPDP SCRIPT 10.6 RxFill messages are returned to PointClickCare to populate the eMAR.”
QS/1 and PointClickCare have also completed EPCS certification and testing for the enhanced interface; allowing pharmacies to electronically receive prescriptions for controlled substances.
“At PointClickCare, we are dedicated to providing our customers with the best solutions that will allow them to efficiently and securely care for their residents,” said Andy Brigant, vice president of Pharmacy Sales and Program Management, PointClickCare. “This integration with QS/1 PrimeCare will play an integral role in bridging the communication between pharmacies and facilities, and will allow both of our teams to come together and help improve patient care across the continuum.”
