Vitamin B-2 (Riboflavin)


Some common functions:
Vitamin B-2 aids in energy metabolism.
Vitamin B-2 helps in the building of amino-acids and fatty-acids.

Additional counseling points:
Vitamin B-2 is one of a number of compounds called "flavins".

Vitamin B-2 is best absorbed with food.

Vitamin B-2 may possibly help with migraines and arthritis.

Vitamin B-2 is readily destroyed by exposure to light.

Vitamin B-2 is water soluble and excess is excreted in the urine.  This may give the urine a fluorescent yellow color.

Some sources of Vitamin B-2 include milk, liver, meat, green leafy vegetables, broccoli, salmon and mushrooms.
