UCSD Medical Center – San Diego, CA The University of California San Diego (UCSD) Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences congratulates Dr. Megan Lang on her accomplishments as an outstanding APPE preceptor. Dr. Lang graduated from the University of Iowa in 2004 and completed an Ambulatory Care Residency in 2006 at UCSD Medical Center. Dr. Lang has been practicing at UC San Diego since 2009. She has been precepting students in a variety of ambulatory settings including a mobile clinic, providing outreach care to the underserved, a hypertension management clinic, and an anticoagulation clinic. As faculty of UC San Diego, we are proud to have Dr. Lang as a preceptor. Thank you! Additionally, Dean Colbert, Dean Taylor, and the School of Pharmacy would like to thank all of our preceptors for their guidance, time and dedication. Dean Colbert Associate Dean Experiential Education Dean Taylor Dean – School of Pharmacy Dr. Ann Hylton is a native of Butler, Pennsylvania. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University in 2007. After graduation, Dr. Hylton moved to Columbia, SC where she completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency as well as a PGY-2 residency specializing in Critical Care at Palmetto Health Richland. She has been board certified in pharmacotherapy since 2008. Prior to joining the faculty at Appalachian College of Pharmacy, Dr. Hylton worked in an Intensive Care Unit developing clinical pharmacy services. Dr. Hylton’s practice site with the Appalachian College of Pharmacy is located at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN where she provides clinical services in the Emergency Department. Her interests include sepsis management, sedation and delirium in the critically ill patient, and patient safety. Dr. Hylton is the author of a case report published in American Journal of Health System Pharmacy in 2010. She is also an active member of American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Hylton spends her free time enjoying the beauty of East Tennessee with her husband Michael and their two dogs. She enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, and reading.
