Performing HEPA filter integrity testing during certification, also known as leak testing, verifies the integrity of the HEPA filter and its installation into the housing. There are several nuances to performing this test, and the method of testing varies depending on the type of filter, housing, and overall design of airflow delivery. Pharmacy personnel need to have a basic understanding of this essential testing to ensure their facility meets USP 797 compliance.
