The Compliance Team Introduces Clinical Disease Management Program

TCT is well ahead of the competition in supporting pharmacies looking to leverage the benefits of value-based care.

Company Background & History

Delivering Exemplary Provider® Recognition for Over 25 Years The Compliance Team, Inc. (TCT), a nationally recognized CMS-approved accreditation organization, was founded in 1994 with the fundamental philosophy that (1) every patient deserves exemplary care and (2) accreditation should not be difficult or costly to achieve if you focus on what matters most, Safety – Honesty – Caring.®

It is a philosophy that providers immediately embrace when they start working with TCT and see how our simplified and patient-centric standards enhance their existing business model.

Product Overview

Our new Clinical Disease Management program recognizes a pharmacy’s expanding role from a transaction-based to a clinical-based services practice.

The Compliance Team recently developed and launched a new program that focuses on clinical disease management (CDM). Pharmacies that achieve the CDM recognition are acknowledged for their roles in helping patients with diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases improve their overall health outcomes and quality of life. The program encourages pharmacies to transform from a transaction-based practice to a services and value-based care practice that promotes continuous, proactive, and patient-centered care in the community.

“ I look at value-based a couple different ways. I think most people just equate it to pay-for-performance, so if there’s not additional dollars in the mix, then why do it? … I see value-based as your pharmacy bringing more value to the patient, to the community, and to the prescriber. It’s all about positive results.”

— Sandra Canally, Founder and CEO

Operational Excellence Leads to Clinical Excellence

Clinical Disease Management is available either as a sub-specialty of our Community Pharmacy program, the foundation of our pharmacy suite of services, or as a stand-alone certification program. Community Pharmacy, like all TCT programs, is operations-based, which makes it easier for pharmacies to integrate the standards into their day-to-day operations.

Community Pharmacy accredits your facility and all the products and services you provide, setting your pharmacy apart from the competition. In fact, we believe so strongly in our Community Pharmacy program that when we introduced Community Pharmacy in 2012, we bundled it with our Part B DMEPOS program. You get two accreditation designations for the price of one.

Our Pharmacy Accreditation Programs Include:

Community Pharmacy (the core of all pharmacy programs)

CMS Approved Medicare Part B — DMEPOS

In-Store Clinic
