GOAL
The goal of this activity is to educate pharmacists on a variety of pain management and opioid analgesic topics in a practical, relatable way that is aligned with the Opioid Analgesic REMS educational goals.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to:
1. Describe common nonpharmacologic and alternative treatments for pain.
2. Discuss contraindications and potential adverse effects of nonpharmacologic and alternative treatments for pain.
3. Review the place in therapy for various nonpharmacologic and alternative treatments for pain.
4. Recommend nonpharmacologic treatments that will improve pain control and quality of life.
