Medi-Dose / EPS Announces New Imprinted ShrinkSafe Bands

Security of sensitive, expensive or high alert meds is an ongoing concern in health care facilities. Special precautions must be taken to protect their integrity and to ensure their safe delivery to the patient. To help practitioners address this concern, Medi-Dose / EPS has widened its popular line of ShrinkSafe Bands to include 5 new sizes, imprinted with “SEALED FOR YOUR PROTECTION,” for use with vials, syringes and bottles.

Easily applied to various sized items, a quick exposure to heat shrinks the band to the container’s shape. The bands work on both child resistant or regular screw caps, and are excellent protection for drugs with abuse potential, expensive antibiotics and meds requiring special handling. Perforations on the bands allow for meds to be quickly dispensed and administered.

“Every hospital has unique requirements, but they all have the same goal... delivering the best in patient care while reducing the potential for medication error,” said Bob Braverman, Director of Marketing. “Just as our existing ShrinkSafe Bands for vials secure and differentiate Paralytics, Chemo, Concentrated and High Alert medications, the new bands help facilities call attention to medication requiring special protection and tamper-evidence while promoting safety, increasing practitioner awareness and helping to reduce errors.

ABOUT MEDI-DOSE®, INC. / EPS®, INC. - For more than 40 years, Medi-Dose / EPS has been working with pharmacists to develop cost-effective solutions that promote medication safety and error prevention.
