Preceptor Recognitions The University of the Incarnate Word, Feik School of Pharmacy congratulates Dr. Kathleen A. Lusk, Pharm.D., BCPS as the 2013- 2014 Faculty Preceptor of the Year. The Class of 2014 selects one faculty preceptor to receive this honor. Dr. Lusk precepts acute care pharmacist interns in the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System located in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Lusk attended the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and received her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2010. Following graduation, she completed two years of clinical pharmacy residency training at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis specializing in Internal Medicine. Dr. Lusk joined the faculty of the University of the Incarnate Word in 2012. She serves as a Senior Board Member of the Central Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists and as a member of the Feik School of Pharmacy’s Residency Advisory Committee. Her research interests include cardiology and infectious disease. This recognition was presented to two individuals who demonstrated exemplary commitment as role-models and mentors for pharmacy students in patient centered education during the students final year of education.
